LITTLE BIT OF THIS. . . . .AND THAT!
As Always. . .I LOVE YA'. . . .CLEVELAND!
In response to Tim from North Canton. . .I'm glad we are in agreement about the bias of the media. . .concerning politics. You are absolutely right. It used to be that you could count on the media to be a neutral watchdog, but that is no longer the case. I can't stand when these talking heads identify themselves as journalists, yet display obvious leftist leanings.
In response from Gary. . .Conneaut Lake, Pa., I'm sorry you can't make your annual trip to Spring Training because of the Indians move from Florida to Arizona. I certainly understand. . .especially in these most difficult economic times. However, Gary, you must know that the city of Goodyear (Az.) gave the Indians organization an offer they simply could not refuse. The city of Winterhaven (Fla.) did not show any interest whatsoever, in keeping the Indians. On the other hand, Goodyear is literally developing a "city" around the Indians player development complex and the Goodyear Ballpark, where the Tribe plays their Spring Training games. After doing the show in Goodyear a few weeks ago. . I cannot do justice in describing this "state of the art" complex Goodyear built for the Tribe! I assure you. . the Indians organization is well-aware that many fans that did go to Winterhaven will not be able to go to Goodyear. However, let us be vividly clear that the purpose of Spring Training. . is not to "please" the fans. . .but to prepare our team the very best way possible to succeed in the upcoming 162 regular season schedule.
Speaking of going to the desert, I'll be going back! I will not be doing the show on Wednesday, March 18 through Sunday, March 22. The bosses at STO have invited many of our network affiliates and sponsors to treat them to a long weekend of golf, baseball and fun.
I recommend the movie. . .TAKEN, starring Liam Neeson. I usually don't care for action-packed films. I thoroughly loved this one! Neeson is tremendous as a retired U.S. Secret Agent, who uses all of his skills, experience and knowledge to track down the kidnappers of his daughter. It is non stop entertainment. This movie was supposed to be released in 2008 but for whatever reason, it was not released until early in '09.
I was also impressed with the physicality of this particular role. . .he had to be in really GREAT shape to portray this character.
Go see it!
Talk to you when I return . . .love ya'! Bruce
