Love Ya' Cleveland!
Nothing new on the movie front. . .no new movies to review. . .
Shortly after the Academy Awards Presentation, traditionally this is the worst time of the year for good movies that are to be taken seriously. The only noteworthy film for 2009 consideration. . we've already reviewed. . and that is the action drama. . TAKEN. . starring Liam Neeson. Incidentally, since that review Neeson tragically lost his wife, Natasha Richardson. . .as a result of her skiing accident. It just goes to show. . .you never know. So. . enjoy each day, which is not an easy thing to do. . with today's economy causing so much hardship and stress to millions. However, try . . .as difficult as it may be. . .to stay positive. . .Life Does Go On.
This is a great time of the year for sports! We have just crowned a new mens basketball champion in North Carolina. . and womens champion in Connecticut. The start of the NBA playoffs. . is right around the corner. As of this writing. . The Masters is about to begin (the first of the 4 major golf championships of the year). The 2009 baseball season has begun! In case you missed it. . on All Bets Are Off, my predictions for the divisional races are as follows:

Kansas City
American League East
Boston
New York
Tampa Bay
Baltimore

On the political front, President Obama. . in his first trip abroad since being sworn in certainly showed how popular he is in Europe. However, he did not accomplish what he set out to do; as far as his international stimulus plan and troop support in Afghanistan from the Europeans. Except for the British, the Europeans bug me. In the last century, the US saved their tails twice. If it weren't for America, France
would be speaking German. . .and if it weren't for America. . .rebuilding and restructuring post World War II Germany would be no more impactful than a Third World Country.
I hope Obama is successful but I fear his pandering to the Europeans might lead us into a more Socialistic form of Government.
Enough of my ranting for now. . .let me hear from you!!!
Love Ya' Cleveland!!!!!
