Mike Cairns

head-CairnsMike Cairns has been on the air in the Cleveland market for the past 10 years. A 20 year broadcast veteran, Mike and his family moved from Washington D.C. to Cleveland in October of 2000 after he accepted the Weekend Sports Anchor position with WKYC-TV3.             

While at WKYC-TV 3, the versatile Anchor/Reporter covered everything from the Cavaliers, Browns, and Indians to the High School Sports scene. Mike was also responsible for Anchoring the weekend newscasts as well as hosting the Three-time Emmy award nominated "McDonalds Sports Tonight".  

Mike left WKYC in March 2006 and has started his own company, Cairns Communications where he now freelances for SportsTime Ohio and other sports channels.  Mike hosts the Ohio High School Kickoff show, the Viking Basketball Report and is co-host of Tee It Up Ohio. He also does play-by-play for STO's OHSAA Coverage.     

Mike is married with three children and currently resides in Avon Lake.
