Doug Dieken has been part of the Browns for the last 36 years. He now joins the STO team to bring insight and analysis to our Browns programming. The former all Big-10 tight end was the Browns 6th round draft choice in 1971. Dieken went on to become a starter in his rookie year as an offensive left tackle and holds the club record for consecutive starts (194) and games (203) during his 14 year playing career. During his playing career and since becoming one of the teams announcers in 1985, Dieken has been involved in many charities. In 1982, he received the NFL's highest humanitarian award--The Byron "Whizzerd" White Award. He also has set up the "Doug Dieken Foundation" that helps underwrite the Special Olympics. Dieken also served as a Browns captain for several years, the teams offensive MVP 75, a starter in the 1980 Pro Bowl.
Since retiring in 1984, Dieken joined the Browns radio team as a color commentator and has served in that capacity ever since. From 1985 to 1995 Dieken also worked for WEWS Channel 5, from 1999 till 2004 he worked for WJW Channel 8 and since 2004 has teamed up with fellow radio broadcast partner Jim Donovan at WKYC. Dieken is also a partner in Jackson, Dieken & Assoc., Insurance Agency with former teammate Robert Jackson. Dieken has lived in Bay Village, OH for the last 28 years and has 2 children -Spencer 18 and Ali 14.
Jim Donovan joined the Indians TV broadcast team in 2006 when SportsTime Ohio brought Indians baseball back to over the air television on WKYC-TV3. He also serves as host for expanded STO programming to give Tribe fans even more insight into Indians' games and players. In 2008 he'll host the Dodge Tribe Report Monday nights on STO. Donovan also hosts STO Browns programming including Browns Training Camp Daily, The Berea Report, Sunday Strategy, Browns Red Zone, and Browns 1-on-1.
Jim Donovan serves as sports anchor for WKYC, Gannett's NBC affiliate in Cleveland, for the weekday 6, 7 and 11 pm news. He joined Channel 3 in March of 1985 as weekend sports anchor. In June of 1999, Jim was named the voice of the Cleveland Browns and does the radio play-by-play announcing for the team.
He has done announcing work for countless national and international events, including the '96 Summer Olympics for NBC/WKYC; in 1994, World Cup Soccer; in 1992, Olympic swimming and soccer competitions for NBC. In addition, he did play-by-play announcing for NBC Sports' NFL games from 1987 to 1997.
Jim resides in Hinckley, OH with his wife Cheryl and daughter Megan.
Bruce Drennan has been a sportscaster on both radio and television for 35 years. Bruce was the color analyst for the Cleveland Indians from 1980-1982 and also has done the play-by-play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has hosted his own TV talk show on TV-29 in Akron and was the morning drive anchor at WTAM, where he earned the award for Best Cleveland Sportscaster in 1997 and 1998. Bruce was inducted into the Radio/Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 1999. He then moved on to host morning drive talk sports on WKNR. He also was a talk-show host and Program Director for sportstalkcleveland.com
Bruce joins the STO team as the host of "All Bets Are Off with Bruce Drennan" live weekdays at 3:00pm and Sundays at 7:00pm
Former Ohio State Quarterback Greg Frey provides TV color commentary for STO’s coverage of the OHSAA state football playoffs and championships. Greg currently resides in Columbus and trains quarterbacks via his business Coach Frey Quarterback Training (www.coachfrey.com). Greg is also the Offensive Coordinator at Pickerington North High School.

Tony brings his expertise to STO's team covering the Browns. Tony has covered a variety of sports beats and major sporting events for The Plain Dealer since joining his hometown newspaper in 1980. Since 1984, he has focused extensively on reporting on the Cleveland Browns and NFL. He has covered every Super Bowl since 1985. His experience in covering the NFL has earned him a spot on the prestigious Pro Football Hall of Fame board of selectors since 1995.
He also is a voter for the National Baseball Hall of Fame, making him one of the few media members who vote for both the pro football and baseball halls of fame. Besides the Super Bowl, Grossi has covered the World Series, NCAA Final Four, Major League All-Star Game, NBA All-Star Game and the 1984 Summer Olympics. He formerly covered professional indoor soccer, college basketball and Major League Baseball as beats with The Plain Dealer. Grossi is the author of "Tales From the Browns Sideline," and has won numerous writing awards on the national, state and local level.
He has served as an analyst on Browns pre-game shows on WKYC-TV3 since 1999 and has been a regular on the station's "Point After" show since 2005. A native of Cleveland, Grossi lives in the area, with his wife Carolyn, who owns Grossi Public Relations, and their two children.
Former Tribe center fielder Rick Manning returns for his 17th full season as color commentator for Indians baseball, currently on SportsTime Ohio.
He began his professional baseball career with the Cleveland Indians as the #1 selection in the 1972 June draft. The first 8 1/2 years of his 13-year major league career were spent in Cleveland (1975-1983) where he won a Gold Glove in 1976 for his fielding prowess. Manning was also selected as the BBWAA "Good Guy" award winner for the 1980 season.
Al Pawlowski joins SportsTime Ohio as host of Indians On-Deck, 2007 co-host of The Tribe Report and for the Indians STO Sports Update. Al is the current play-by-play broadcaster for Detroit Ignition telecasts on Comcast Local in Michigan and current MISL national television play-by-play broadcaster since 2002 for all national broadcasts (All-Star games and last two years championship series). He is also the Cleveland State Men's basketball radio play-by-play broadcaster (2005-present). Pawlowski was the radio/TV play-by-play broadcaster for Cleveland Crunch/Force for seven seasons (1998-2005). Additionally, for the past eight seasons, Cleveland Indians' in-park host/reporter at Jacobs Field (1999-2006). He does additional freelance radio and TV play-by-play and is the National voice-tracker for Jones Radio International (since 2001). Al graduated from John Carroll University where he played baseball.
Coach Sam Rutigliano brings his knowledge and experience to STO's Browns programming. Sam coached the Cleveland Browns from 1978 to 1984, and finished with a regular season record of 47 and 50. In his third season as head coach, Sam led the 1980 Browns to the AFC Central Division title and was named NFL Coach of the year. After leaving the Browns in 1984, Sam went on to work as an analyst or NBC and ESPN, but it wasn't enough, Sam's passion for coaching lured to Liberty University in Virginia. Sam spent 11 years as the head coach at Liberty University and when he retired in 2000, he did so as the all-time winningest coach in Liberty team history with 67 wins. Sam coached for nearly 50 years at every level including NFL Europe. Sam stays involved with football today by traveling the country giving motivational speeches and working as an analyst for SportsTime Ohio and WKYC-TV3 (NBC), in Cleveland.
Matt Underwood enters his third season as a member of the STO team providing play-by-play for the Indians telecasts and as co-host of The Tribe Report during the Indians offseason. Matt also provides play-by-play for the OHSAA football playoffs and state championship games on STO.
He spent seven seasons as a member of the Tribe radio broadcast team and 13 seasons, from 1994-2006, as host of Indians Warm-up, the pre-game show heard on the Cleveland Indians Radio Network. He also hosted the TV pre-game show for Indians baseball for nine seasons.
Matt spent 16 years in various capacities with local ABC affiliate WEWS-TV5. He continued that relationship for six years in a part-time role after joining the Tribe radio broadcast team for the 2000 season. He served as the station's sports director from 1997-2000. In addition to anchoring the 6pm and 11pm sports, he also hosted the weekly half-hour show, Sports Sunday. Underwood also co-hosted a daily talk show on SportsRadio WKNR (1993-94).
In addition to his support of Cleveland Indians Charities, Matt also helps to raise money for The Gathering Place, a non-profit cancer support center. This season Matt and his partner Rick Manning will each donate $5 for each homerun hit by the Indians to The Gathering Place.
The Ashland, OH native graduated from Baldwin-Wallace College in 1990. Matt currently resides in Avon Lake with his wife, Shelley. They have two children, Max and Devan.
