Tony Grossi

Tony has covered a variety of sports beats and major sporting events for The Plain Dealer since joining his hometown newspaper in 1980. Since 1984, he has focused extensively on reporting on the Cleveland Browns and NFL. He has covered every Super Bowl since 1985. His experience in covering the NFL has earned him a spot on the prestigious Pro Football Hall of Fame board of selectors since 1995.

He also is a voter for the National Baseball Hall of Fame, making him one of the few media members who vote for both the pro football and baseball halls of fame. Besides the Super Bowl, Grossi has covered the World Series, NCAA Final Four, Major League All-Star Game, NBA All-Star Game and the 1984 Summer Olympics. He formerly covered professional indoor soccer, college basketball and Major League Baseball as beats with The Plain Dealer. Grossi is the author of "Tales From the Browns Sideline," and has won numerous writing awards on the national, state and local level.

He has served as an analyst on Browns pre-game shows on WKYC-TV3 since 1999 and has been a regular on the station's "Point After" show since 2005. A native of Cleveland, Grossi lives in the area, with his wife Carolyn, who owns Grossi Public Relations, and their two children.
